Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) was declared a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in the year 2008. Since its inception, CARE has consistently contributed to society as a premier institution for higher education and research, particularly in the fields of Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Engineering and emerging disciplines.
CARE is approved by statutory and regulatory bodies including NMC, INC, TNNMC, AICTE, COA, BCI and PCI. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)at Chettinad College of Physiotherapyis a 4 Years + 1 Year Internship undergraduate programme designed to provide a strong foundation in rehabilitative medicine. The programme emphasises hands-on training in areas such as Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, Radiology & Imaging Technology, Orthopaedics & Traumatology, and General Medicine. It aims to develop advanced physiotherapeutic skills to diagnose and treat movement-related disorders effectively.

Chettinad College of Occupational Therapy
Chettinad College of Occupational TherapyProvides comprehensive education and clinical training in physiotherapy with emphasis on evidence-based rehabilitation practices. Students gain hands-on experience in musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiopulmonary care within a multi-speciality hospital environment.
Programs Offered
BOT (4 Years and 1 Year Internship)
The BOTprogramme trains students in therapeutic rehabilitation and functional independence strategies. The curriculum integrates anatomy, psychology and assistive technologies. Clinical postings are mandatory. Students complete research projects and case documentation. Graduates work in hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
